The Osceola Magic (1-3) battled hard but couldn’t complete a spirited fourth-quarter comeback against the Mexico City Capitanes (3-1), falling 107-98 on Friday night. The Capitanes were led by Trey Burke, who delivered an impressive 24-point performance, including six three-pointers (6-10 from beyond the arc). Six Capitanes players scored in double figures, showcasing a well-rounded team effort in the victory.

Trevelin Queen continued his strong start to the season, leading the Magic with 24 points and nine rebounds. Javonte Smart provided a spark off the bench, contributing 16 points while shooting 7-14 from the field.

The game seemed out of reach early, as the Magic trailed by as many as 23 points. However, a resilient Osceola squad mounted an electrifying comeback, narrowing the deficit to just two points with 4:02 remaining in the fourth quarter after a smooth floater by Mac McClung. Following a well-timed timeout, the Capitanes regrouped and responded with a decisive 9-3 run, halting the Magic’s momentum and sealing the victory.
