SunRail said it is set reopen two of its Osceola County stations today, Monday October 17 after repairing tracks damaged by Hurricane Ian.

The Kissimmee and Poinciana stations were closed after the ground under a section of the railroad track washed away during the hurricane about two weeks ago.

Commuter rail passengers had to be bused to and from the Kissimmee and Poinciana stations in order to catch the train.

Repair work along the Central Florida Rail Corridor is now complete. The corridor sustained damages to the track following Hurricane Ian. With all repairs now complete, SunRail will begin running their normal schedule to all 16 stations from DeBary to Poinciana starting on Monday, October 17, 2022. The Florida Department of Transportation said all repair work along the Central Florida Rail Corridor is now complete., so all 16 stations will operate on a normal schedule, from DeBary to Poinciana.
