Businesses and organizations around Osceola and throughout Central Florida are reopening today, following the passage of Hurricane Milton, which made landfall as a Category 3 storm late Wednesday night. Theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, and FunSpot announced that they would resume operations today after completing safety assessments.

“We are thankful to have weathered the storm,” Walt Disney World said on its website, confirming the park would reopen Friday with regular operating hours. The company added: “Our thoughts are with all Floridians affected by the storm.”

Orlando International Airport, the state’s busiest, along with Sanford International Airport, and Melbourne International Airports also confirmed they would be reopening on Friday, signaling the start of recovery efforts and a return to normalcy in the wake of Hurricane Milton.
