KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has announced arrests in a gang-related homicide that occurred more than a year ago in Kissimmee.
According to investigators, deputies responded at approximately 2:45 a.m. on November 15, 2024, to a reported traffic crash at the intersection of Greenup Street and Smith Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased male inside the driver’s seat of a Range Rover. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Homicide and forensic units were immediately dispatched to the scene. Investigators secured the area while forensic specialists collected evidence. The victim’s body was later released to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Kashorn Armand. Following an autopsy, the Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. Detectives determined the shooting was not random, but instead a premeditated act connected to organized gang activity.
Due to the complexity of the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office worked in coordination with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, including its crime laboratory and forensic analysts, to process evidence and analyze leads.
After months of investigative work, detectives identified three suspects believed to be responsible for Armand’s death: Ta’Shard Smith, 18; Sincere McKenzie, 18; and Cornelius Walls, 21. Authorities noted that Smith and McKenzie were juveniles at the time of the homicide.
The case was presented to Assistant State Attorneys and later submitted to a grand jury. In January 2026, the State Attorney’s Office secured indictments against all three suspects on charges related to the gang-motivated homicide. Arrest warrants were issued with gang enhancements.
With assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, Ta’Shard Smith was located and arrested. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail on February 3, 2026. Cornelius Walls and Sincere McKenzie were already in custody at separate state correctional facilities and were served with their homicide warrants.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office stated that the case underscores the ongoing challenges posed by gang-related violence and emphasized the importance of community cooperation in helping law enforcement bring offenders to justice.
Investigators also noted there have been other unrelated homicides in the same area. Anyone with information related to this case or other violent crimes is urged to contact the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 348-2222.
