Toho Water Authority (Toho) has joined other water utilities, businesses and community leaders by participating in the fourth annual Imagine a Day Without Water campaign. This nationwide event is a day of education and advocacy about the value of water. Led by the Value of Water campaign, hundreds of organizations across the country hosted events today (Wednesday October 10th) aimed at raising awareness about the importance of maintaining the water and wastewater systems that bring a steady flow of water to and from homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, emergency outlets and everything else.

A day without water means no water to brush your teeth, toilets don’t flush, firefighters can’t put out fires, farmers can’t water their crops and doctors can’t wash their hands. This is a simple reminder to make a serious point—that we shouldn’t take water for granted.

Recognizing that an investment in our drinking water and wastewater systems is essential to our national health, safety and economic prosperity, Toho has created a short video to help spread awareness of this national campaign. This video can be viewed on our social media sites (Facebook and Twitter). Please take a moment to like and share this video today.

Collecting, storing, treating, and bringing water to and from homes and commercial enterprises is the job of municipal utilities. Toho provides these services at one of the lowest rates in the State of Florida.
