Tropical Storm Elsa is moving its way northward at 14 mph with sustained winds of 65 mph along Florida’s west coast. Its moderate to heavy rains and gusty winds are moving across the western portion of the state spiraling inland, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A Tornado Watch continues for the following counties until 8 a.m. Wednesday: Lake County, Marion County, Orange County, Osceola County, Polk County, Seminole County, Sumter County, and Volusia County.

Elsa is expected to make landfall along the north Florida Gulf Coast between Wednesday morning and afternoon and then move across the southeastern United States before continuing its path north.
