A tropical disturbance moving toward Florida in July? Could it be? Yes, being mindful of tropical weather in the Atlantic is something we are accustomed to do in Florida, and so we are keeping an eye on the current disturbance heading toward Florida… or nearby.

The latest forecast in the Atlantic has the system headed somewhere in South Florida or south of Florida’s coast by the weekend.

When, or if, it picks up more speed it will be called Tropical Storm Isaias.

Computer models seem to have the track moving west over the next two days, but there is as lot of land in front of its current course, so we’ll be patient, keep watching, and hope it weakens or falls apart altogether.
