A 17-year-old from Clermont was driving with another 17-year-old from Kissimmee north on Pleasant Hill Road as another driver, a 27-year-old woman from Kissimmee was traveling south on the same road around 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
FHP said for an unknown reason, the teen driver drove onto the shoulder of the road, then overcorrected the vehicle into the southbound lanes where it struck the oncoming vehicle.
Both teenagers died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, according to FHP’s report.
The crash is still under investigation.
