U.S. News & World Report has recognized Orlando Health hospitals in three categories in its 2023-24 Best Hospitals rankings. The distinctions include a top 50 national ranking in Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery; regional rankings in Florida and the Orlando area; and high performing ratings in adult specialties and adult procedure and conditions.
Best Hospitals
On a national level, Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, and Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital ranked No. 49 in Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery. The hospitals also ranked high performing in three additional specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery, Urology.
Best Regional Hospitals
On a regional level, Orlando Health ORMC, Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips, Orlando Health South Seminole, and Orlando Health South Lake Hospital were on the list of Best Regional Hospitals in Central Florida.
High Performing Hospitals
In the ‘individual procedures and conditions’ category, U.S. News rated Orlando Health ORMC, Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips, and Orlando Health South Seminole high performing in 12 procedures and conditions: Aortic valve surgery, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Colon cancer surgery, Diabetes, Heart attack, Heart bypass surgery, Heart failure, Kidney failure, Knee replacement, Leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma, Lung cancer surgery and Stroke.
Orlando Health South Lake rated high performing in seven procedures and conditions: COPD, Diabetes, Heart attack, Heart failure, Kidney failure, Pneumonia and Stroke.
Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital rated high performing in three procedures and conditions: Diabetes, Heart attack, Heart failure.
Bayfront Health St. Petersburg rated high performing in two procedures and conditions: Diabetes and Stroke
