A 19-year-old Kissimmee woman tragically lost her life, and three others were injured in a two-car crash Sunday evening on Hickory Tree Rd. in St. Cloud, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash took place around 6:53 p.m. at the intersection of Old Hickory Tree Road and Nolte Road. A 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Old Hickory Tree Road, while a 2014 Nissan Quest was heading east on Nolte Road in the outside lane.

According to FHP, the driver of the Corolla, a 19-year-old Gainesville man, failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection. The Corolla entered the intersection and into the path of the Nissan Quest, causing a crash that forced both vehicles off the roadway.

The Toyota Corolla’s driver and the Quest’s driver and passenger were transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Tragically, the passenger in the Corolla, a 19-year-old Kissimmee woman, was taken to Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
