A 33-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he engaged in a lewd online chat with an Osceola deputy who he thought was a 14-year-old girl, according to the Osceola Sheriff’s Office.

On September 24, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit were working to locate online predators.

During the investigation, a conversation began between a suspect later identified as 33-year-old Trever Gary Killette and an undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old child. During the online chat, Killette asked, who he believed to be a child, for nude pictures. Killette also sent the detective two sexually explicit pictures of himself.

On November 4, Detectives with the ICAC unit contacted Killette who was cooperated with the questioning. Osceola detectives obtained an arrest warrant for one count of Lewd Conduct, one count of Use of Computer to Seduce, Solicit or Lure a Child, and two counts of Transmission of Harmful Materials to a Minor. On November 5, 2020, an arrest warrant was obtained and Trever was placed in custody. Trever was transported to the Osceola County Jail with No Bond.
