A 55-year-old St. Cloud man is in the Osceola County Jail after being extradited from New Jersey where he was arrested based on a St. Cloud investigation that ended with the man being charged with 5 counts of possession of child pornography.
In January the St. Cloud Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Detectives received multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about 55-year-old Kurt Wesley Russell, who they say was in possession of images depicting the sexual performance of children.
After a nearly three-month-long investigation investigators served a search warrant at Russell’s residence at 3471 Goldeneye Lane in St. Cloud where they found multiple electronic devices. After investigating the electronics an arrest warrant was obtained for Russell for five counts of Unlawful Possession Of Material Depicting the Sexual Performance By A Child. Russell was arrested in New Jersey for the warrant and extradited to Osceola County on April 1, 2022.
