The Double C Bar Ranch Blueberry Picking Season kicked off with great enthusiasm on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24. Visitors traveled to the Chapman family’s sprawling 30-acre blueberry fields, nestled 15 miles south of St. Cloud on the way to Kenansville, eager to partake in the annual harvest. This season introduced an exciting array of new culinary delights, including savory brats, an assortment of newly crafted blueberry jams, and a uniquely flavorful blueberry hot sauce, all of which received rave reviews from Positively Osceola. Additionally, in a fresh venture this year, Double C Bar Ranch expanded its offerings to include citrus trees, inviting patrons to bring a piece of the ranch’s verdant bounty into their own backyards.
From the joy of U-Pick berries to the comfort of fresh-cut French fries, ranch-raised hamburgers, homemade lemonade, Lynn’s blueberry hand pies, and an assortment of homemade jams, jellies, and baked goods, there was something for everyone. The new hats, T-shirts, souvenirs, and gifts served as perfect mementos of their visit.
U-Pick blueberries are available at $6 per pound, with provided buckets that hold about 6 pounds of their delicious fruit. For those preferring convenience, pre-picked blueberries are sold at $8.00 per pound. The ranch had also enhanced visitor comfort by expanding the covered area with picnic tables, perfect for enjoying the sunny weather—just a reminder for visitors not to forget their hat or sunscreen. Facilities including restrooms and an additional hand-washing station were readily available for convenience.
The ranch once again offers its extremely popular homegrown Pasture+® Beef, with a selection that included ground beef, half, and whole beef portions. Positively Osceola made sure to pick up a couple pounds to take home after enjoying a positively delicious meal prepared fresh by the Chapman family and their staff!
Chapman’s Double C Bar Ranch Blueberry Farm welcomes visitors every weekend, with doors open from 9 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays and from 12 PM to 4 PM on Sundays.
