The City of Kissimmee’s Development Services Department is inviting residents, business owners, and stakeholders to its “Onward Kissimmee – Our City, Our Future” project launch on Friday August 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kissimmee Civic Center. This initiative aims to guide the city’s future development and transportation planning.
The event will be family-friendly, featuring food trucks, raffles, and games, providing a positive environment for community members to share their ideas and visions for Kissimmee’s future.
As part of the launch, the city is offering a comprehensive bus tour on August 23 to explore key areas of the city, including downtown, neighborhoods, commercial corridors, parks, and waterfronts. The tours will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., starting from City Hall.
“We are committed to planning effective transportation and development by actively involving our residents. We encourage everyone to attend the meetings, workshops, and tours to ensure your voices are heard and valued,” said Craig Holland, Development Services Director.
Participants can discuss their favorite places, areas needing improvement, and suggestions for transit and biking options. Due to limited space on the bus tour, registration is encouraged via the Onward Kissimmee Bus Tour RSVP.
