St. Cloud’s Pinktoberfest, an annual event held in October that focuses on raising awareness and funds for the St. Cloud Chapter of Pink Heals, haps been unfortunately canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The St. Cloud Chapter of Pink Heals, a non-profit grassroots support group, provides financial and emotional support for St. Cloud families battling cancer, and has seen growing support from the community related to its Pinktoberfest and throughout the year. One of the popular elements of Pinktoberfest was the Pink Fire Truck pull.

“Although this would have been just our third year hosting Pinktoberfest, it was fast becoming one of the city’s premiere events,” said Parks and Recreation Director Stephanie Holtkamp. “The fact that it raised funds for local residents battling cancer and other terminal diseases made it even more meaningful to all of us. However, due to the continuing effects of COVID-19, we do not believe we can safely stage the event this year. We look forward to bringing it back again in the future.”

According to the city’s news release, the event was canceled to help ensure the safety of the community. Positively Osceola would like to take thank the City of St. Cloud and everyone involved with Pink Heals for making a Positive Difference in and around Osceola County!
