Families in need of school supplies are invited to a special event hosted by District 1 Commissioner Peggy Choudhry and The Salvation Army of Osceola County. The Free Mid-Year Backpack Distribution will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at 1531 Immokalee Street, Intercession City.
This drive-up event is designed to provide essential school supplies to children, helping families prepare for success in the classroom. Backpacks filled with school essentials will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required, but families are reminded that a child must be present to receive a backpack, with no exceptions.
“This initiative is about ensuring every child has the tools they need to succeed,” said Commissioner Peggy Choudhry. “I’m grateful to partner with The Salvation Army to make this possible for the families in our community.”
The supplies have been generously provided by The Salvation Army, a vital organization supporting families in Osceola County.
For more information, residents can contact Commissioner Choudhry’s office at 407-742-2387 or email Peggy.Choudhry@osceola.org. Don’t miss this opportunity to prepare your little learners for success!
