Easter brings hope.

The Sunday morning update from the Florida Department of Health reported just four new COVID-19 cases from overnight, after an evening report Saturday that add nothing new from that morning. That moved the total number to 321. The number of local hospitalizations (96) remained steady overnight, and Osceola hasn’t had a new fatality since Thursday.

Keep in mind that the case and hospitalization total doesn’t not mean all those cases are active. Osceola County reported its first cases on March 13 and 14; some of those since should and would have recovered.

The total amount of positive coronavirus cases in Florida stands at 19,347, with 452 deaths, an addition of six overnight, and 2,633 hospitalizations since March 1. All of Florida’s 67 counties now have at least one reported case.

As a reminder, the county’s mandate to cover your face with a simple mask or cloth covering goes into effect after midnight tonight.
