After huge speculation and frustration for James Bond fans everywhere, Daniel Craig has now confirmed that he will indeed return to play James Bond once more.

Craig said in an interview, “I’ve been rather coy but I kind of felt like if I should speak the truth I should speak the truth to you.” He was then asked if it’s true that he will be returning as James Bond. The British actor replied simply “yes,”.

Craig has apparently had a complete change of heart. When he was asked in 2015 whether or not he would play James Bond again, he replied: “Now? I’d rather … slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

This will be the Daniel Craig’s fifth Bond film, after Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre. The next Bond movie will be the 25th in the long running franchise, and is scheduled to be released in American cinemas on November 8, 2019. Asked if it would be his last run as the celebrated spy, Craig said, “I think this is it, I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
