While the Florida Department of Health did not report any new cases of COVID-19 from this morning’s update, it did report the county’s fifth death from the virus. The DOH’s evening information packet does not yet have information on the Osceola’s first fatality in a week.

Cases remained at 295 for a total of 18 new cases reported today, a modest 6 percent increase.

The DOH now reports 16,826 total cases statewide, an 1,128 increase on the day, and 48 more deaths to a total of 371. Only Liberty County in the Panhandle south and west of Tallahassee has not registered a COVID-19 case.
