The field of nominees for both the Osceola School District’s top employee awards — Teacher of the Year and School-Related Employee of the Year — has been narrowed down to the top ten finalists in each category.
The following educators have been named as the top ten finalists for Osceola School District’s 2019 Teacher of the Year Award:

· Yvonne Christiansen Kochensparger – AP & IB Science, Gateway High
· Amanda MacKenzie, Science – Horizon Middle
· Morgan Presto, Kindergarten/1st Grade ESE – Cypress Elementary
· Richard Steinmetz Jr. , Pharmacy Technician Program – Liberty High

· Gayle Cape, Data Quality Analyst Lead – Information Services Department
· Kenneth Holbrook, Computer Technician – Celebration High
· Damian Lugo, Custodian – Central Avenue Elementary
· Vicki Massicotte, Bookkeeper – Narcoossee Middle
· Amelia Miranda, Paraprofessional – Adult Learning Center Osceola (ALCO)
· Brenda Santos, Educational Specialist – Special Programs
· Cindy Stevens, Accounts Payable Supervisor – Business & Fiscal Services
· Moses Younassoghlou, Building Automation System Specialist – Maintenance
Judges selected the finalists based on their applications. Each finalist was surprised at their work location by Superintendent Dr. Debra Pace to announce their finalist standing. The names of Osceola County’s 2019 Teacher of the Year and Osceola County’s 2018 School-Related Employee of the Year will be announced at the Education Awards Ceremony held on March 15, 2018, at Osceola Heritage Park.

El jurado seleccionó a los finalistas en base a sus solicitudes. Cada finalista fue sorprendido en su lugar de trabajo por la Superintendente Dra. Debra Pace para anunciarles su elección como finalistas. Los nombres de Maestro del Año 2019 y Empleado Escolar del Año 2018 del condado Osceola serán anunciados en la Ceremonia de Premios de Educación el 15 de marzo de 2018, en Osceola Heritage Park.
