It has arrived in Osceola County.
Just after midnight Saturday morning, the Florida Department of Health confirmed a 54-year-old Osceola County male has tested positive for COVID-19, the coronavirus. Orange County also had its first reported case, a 41-year-old male. Whether their cases are travel related were “under investigation” at the time.
This makes 70 positive cases in the state, including a third death — a Florida woman returning from Asia tested in California and later died there.
Statewide there are 221 pending test results, the DOH reported, and 365 people under current health monitoring.
