Since declaring a local State of Emergency on Wednesday August 28th, pertaining to Hurricane Dorian, Osceola County has continued to ramp up emergency response and preparation efforts.
General shelters will open in Osceola County at noon on Monday Sept 2, 2019 at the following locations:
- Harmony High School (pet-friendly shelter) 3601 Arthur J Gallagher Blvd, St Cloud, FL 34771
- St. Cloud High School- 2000 Bulldog Ln, St Cloud, FL 34769
- Horizon Middle School- 2020 Ham Brown Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746
In addition, Osceola County issued on Friday, August 30, 2019, an executive order providing for a recommended and voluntary evacuation for low lying areas and manufactured and mobile homes to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
