It’s officially opening day at Universal Orlando Resort for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. This “story coaster” has been a highly-anticipated addition to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter since construction began in Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure in January 2018.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is the longest roller coaster in Florida, measuring nearly a mile in length, and it’s also the first coaster in the U.S. to feature a free-fall vertical drop – dropping riders nearly 17 feet!
Typical for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter grand openings, hundreds of guests will be awaiting the gates to open at 9 a.m., so be sure to get there early! Here are a few tips to help heighten your experience.
Download The Official Universal Orlando Resort App in advance to access Universal’s Virtual Line system. This will allow you to enjoy other attractions in the park until it’s your time to join the queue.
To schedule your wait time in advance, open the app and tap the icon for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, then select how many people are in your party and a return time to join the queue. Please note that you must be in the park to secure a return time.
Scan your Virtual Line pass on your mobile device upon arrival and the remainder of your wait time will be posted at the attraction entrance.
