The Indiana Pacers are signing former Osceola Magic guard Mac McClung to a multiyear contract. The move marks a milestone for McClung, who becomes the first-ever three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion to earn a standard NBA contract after several years of grinding through training camps and two-way deals since 2021.
According to sources, the Pacers will waive former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman to create roster space for McClung. The 24-year-old Wiseman had recently returned from an Achilles tear suffered in the first game of last season. He started in Indiana’s recent loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, logging 20 minutes of play.
McClung’s deal is reportedly a nonguaranteed multiyear contract, a major step for the high-flying guard whose determination, athleticism, and fan-favorite performances in the G League have kept him on NBA radars.
Connection to the Osceola Magic
Before signing with the Pacers, McClung showcased his energy and highlight-reel playmaking with the Osceola Magic, based in Kissimmee, Florida, where he was a consistent spark plug for fans at Osceola Heritage Park. His leap to the NBA underscores the G League’s role as a developmental pathway and a proud moment for the Osceola Magic organization and its fans.
As McClung prepares for his new opportunity in Indiana, the Osceola Magic are gearing up for another thrilling G League season filled with community engagement and entertainment. The team has announced its promotional schedule for the first half of the 2025–26 NBA G League season, featuring returning fan-favorite theme nights, special giveaways, and new celebrations that capture the heart of Osceola County.
The Magic will tip off their season at Osceola Heritage Park on Friday, November 7, against the Texas Legends, with the first 1,000 fans receiving an Osceola Magic home schedule t-shirt, courtesy of 7 Brew.

Looking Ahead
The Pacers’ move to sign McClung comes as the team navigates early-season injuries across its backcourt. Andrew Nembhard, Bennedict Mathurin, and Obi Toppin are listed as day-to-day, T.J. McConnell continues to rehab a hamstring injury, and All-Star Tyrese Haliburton is out for the season with an Achilles tear.
With McClung’s addition, Indiana hopes to inject creativity and intensity into a lineup short on guards, while Osceola Magic fans can proudly celebrate another player making the leap from Kissimmee to the NBA hardwood.
As McClung’s journey continues, the Osceola Magic prepare to tip off another action-packed season, bringing basketball, community, and excitement together once again at Osceola Heritage Park.
