The Central Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was recently awarded, for the 3rd consecutive year, a grant of $484,244. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office received the grant for the first time in 2018 and continues to be the lead task force agency for Central Florida.

The OCSO ICAC Unit is responsible for 60 different agencies in Central Florida providing training and equipment to other ICAC units in the area, as well as to disperse cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to local agencies.

From January 1st, 2020 to August 31st, 2020, the Central Florida ICAC Task Force received 4,365 cyber tips, investigated 2,123 cases, and served 600 search warrants resulting in 205 arrests.

Positively Osceola would like to thank the ICAC Unit for all it does to investigate and arrest those involved in child abuse and exploitation involving the internet.
