On Thursday, June 13th around 8:30 P.M. deputies with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to the WaWa gas station at 2184 East Irlo Bronson Highway after being call about an attempted burglary with battery.

According to Osceola Deputies the victim pulled into the parking lot next to a gas pump and when she attempted to get our of her car to pump the gas a man approached her car, pushed his way into the vehicle and battered her. The victim fought off the attacker causing him to flee to back to his car and then drive off in his white Acura.

On Thursday, June 20th, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect, 27 year old Noel Rivera. Rivera was contacted and agreed to be spoken to. During the interrogation Rivera confessed to deputies that it was him at the WaWa gas station driving the white Acura that was seen on a security camera pulling up to the victim, and that he used to leave the scene after attacking the victim.

Rivera was arrested and charged with Occupied Burglary and Battery. Positively Osceola would like to thank the community for sharing this crime via social media, which certainly played a role in the discovery and capture of Noel Rivera.
