Today, Tuesday, Sept. 20, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a cross-country effort to register voters ahead of the midterm elections.

Representatives from the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections Office will be stationed at three locations around the county to conduct voter registration.

Those locations include:

  • Kissimmee City Hall, 101 Church St, Kissimmee, FL 34741
  • Saint Cloud City Hall, 1300 9th St, St Cloud, FL 34769
  • Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Square, Kissimmee, FL 34741

First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 4.7 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date.

Celebrated every September, National Voter Registration Day involves volunteers and organizations from all over the country hitting the streets in a single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts. National Voter Registration Day seeks to create broad awareness of voter registration opportunities to reach tens of thousands of voters who may not register otherwise.

The 2022 General Election Day is quickly approaching. Election Day is November 8, 2022. The last date to register to vote for the first time in Florida and be able to vote in the 2022 General Election is October 11, 2022.

Residents in Osceola County are encouraged to visit one of the locations mentioned above or the Elections Office website, www.voteosceola.gov, to register to vote or to update their voter registration.
