The brother-in-law of slain St. Cloud mother Nicole Montalvo is now in jail after detectives from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant for him on 24 more counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of pornography by electronic device or equipment.

Nicholas Rivera, 28, is currently being held at the Orange County Jail with a $250,000 bound. He was located at a relative’s residence in Orange County by the United States Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force and arrested, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported today. Osceola detectives obtained a warrant for the additional counts on Monday.

Rivera is the brother of Christopher Otero-Rivera and the son of Angel Luis Rivera, who were charged in the murder of Nicole Montalvo, Otero-Rivera’s estranged ex-wife. He was originally arrested on eight other child pornography counts on Nov. 19. Nicholas Rivera, Otero-Rivera’s brother, was also considered a person of interest in the investigation of the Nicole Montalvo murder.

Angel and Christopher are both scheduled for a court date on June 8, the week after the Osceola Clerk of Court announced today that it expects normal courthouse operations to resume, in the Montalvo murder case.
