Orlando Health Imaging Centers opened two new locations earlier this month, one in Osceola County and the other Orange County.

The not-for-profit healthcare organization, with $8.1 billion of assets under management, serves the southeastern United States and was founded more than 100 years ago

Both locations employ an expert medical team that uses advanced imaging technology to produce highly detailed scans read by a board-certified radiologist.

“The opening of these new centers demonstrates Orlando Health’s continued commitment to providing high-quality imaging services in Central Florida,” said Greg Ohe, senior vice president of Orlando Health’s ambulatory and post-acute services. “Patients in East Orlando and Kissimmee can now access these state-of-the-art facilities closer to home.”

Orlando Health Imaging Centers – Osceola, is a 5,678-square-foot facility at 1210 E. Osceola Parkway, across from Orlando Health Emergency Room – Osceola. Orlando Health Imaging Centers – Alafaya, is a 7,221-square-foot facility at 2000 N. Alafaya Trail, Suite 800.

Patients can make appointments at both locations for a CT scan, PET scan, mammogram, ultrasound or bone density scan with an option for a trabecular bone score. A 3T MRI — the gold standard of imaging technology — is available at each location. The 3T MRI system handles virtually any MRI application, including routine brain scans, spine and orthopedic studies, plus specialized vascular and cardiac applications.

“We are proud to expand our signature, excellent healthcare services with these new facilities,” said Yesenia Mosher, senior director, Orlando Health Imaging Centers. “Patients can expect detailed scans and precise results.”

Orlando Health Imaging Centers are fully integrated with all Orlando Health hospitals, departments and physicians. This ensures a patient’s scan results can be seen quickly by their referring physician within the Orlando Health system.

Orlando Health Imaging Centers – Alafaya and Orlando Health Imaging Centers – Osceola are the newest facilities to open in the Orlando Health network. The health system already provides imaging and diagnostic services at centers located in downtown Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, Spring Lake, Summerport, Winter Park and Ocoee.
