The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is pleased to announce a new walk-in clinic has opened in St. Cloud to provide expert sports medicine and orthopedic care to residents without an appointment. The practice opened its doors to the community earlier this month, offering the latest diagnostic and treatment options for injuries or illnesses that affect the bones and soft tissues in all ages.

Highly trained bilingual medical providers will evaluate and treat sports concussions, sprains, strains, stress fractures and other orthopedic injuries. Patients will have immediate access to x-ray imaging and casting during their visit.

“The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute walk-in clinic is a convenient way for people to get faster, more streamlined specialty care for orthopedic and sports medicine injuries,” said Kelsey Kiser, Assistant Vice President Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. “Patients are often able to skip a trip to the emergency room and go straight to the experts, who can diagnose, and in some cases treat the injury or condition in a single visit.”

The clinic will be led by Gabriela Acosta, a certified physician assistant (PA-C). Acosta has worked at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Winter Park, Lake Mary and Windermere locations since December of 2023. She prides herself as an active listener to better understand her patients, their preferences, and individual circumstances.

“I’m excited to help bring our top-notch services to St. Cloud,” Acosta said. “I love connecting with my patients in English or Spanish and making sure they are empowered to take charge of their healthcare decisions.”

The practice will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1600 Budinger Ave., Ste. C, St. Cloud, FL 34769. Patients are encouraged to bring a photo ID, insurance card, and parent or guardian if under 18.
