A 23-year-old Kissimmee man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following an investigation by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) alerted authorities to suspected file sharing and storage of child sexual abuse material. Detectives launched an investigation, which led them to the Osceola Pointe Apartments in Kissimmee.

On May 15, ICAC detectives executed a residential search warrant at the apartment complex. During the search, the suspect—identified as 23-year-old James Samuel Johnson was interviewed and admitted to possessing child sexual abuse material.

Johnson was subsequently arrested and charged with 10 counts of Possession of Photo/Video of Sexual Performance by a Child and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail and is currently being held without bond.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to protecting children and working with national organizations like NCMEC to identify and stop online exploitation.
