ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital will host a free Latin-inspired “Sip & Screen” brunch on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon, combining women’s wellness information with relaxing activities and an opportunity to learn more about the hospital’s breast care services.
The event will take place at the Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital Women’s Imaging Center, located at 2900 17th St., Suite 5, in St. Cloud.
The brunch will highlight the importance of early detection and introduce attendees to the comprehensive services available through the Women’s Imaging Center. Guests will be able to schedule a future mammogram appointment, meet Orlando Health physicians and tour the center. Mammograms will not be performed during the event.
“While Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a great time to come together and spread awareness, we want to make sure we’re talking about breast cancer year-round,” said Dr. Jeffrey Smith, a breast cancer surgeon with the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. “Early detection is so important because it can drastically improve outcomes for our patients.”
In addition to breast care information, attendees can enjoy mocktails and charcuterie, a special photo opportunity, relaxing chair massages, an essential oils station and do-it-yourself flower and charm bars.
The free event is designed to provide women with a comfortable and welcoming setting where they can prioritize their health while enjoying a meaningful and memorable morning.
According to the American Cancer Society, approximately one in eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. Regular mammograms can help detect breast cancer earlier, when treatment may be more effective.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital Women’s Imaging Center, 2900 17th St., Suite 5, St. Cloud.

CLOUD, Florida — Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital realizará un brunch gratuito con sabor latino denominado “Sip & Screen” el sábado 26 de septiembre, de 10 a.m. a 12 p.m., combinando información sobre la salud de la mujer con actividades de relajación y la oportunidad de conocer más sobre los servicios de cuidado de los senos del hospital.
El evento tendrá lugar en el Women’s Imaging Center de Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital, ubicado en 2900 17th St., Suite 5, en St. Cloud.
El brunch destacará la importancia de la detección temprana y presentará los servicios integrales disponibles en el Women’s Imaging Center. Las asistentes podrán programar una futura cita para una mamografía, conocer a médicos de Orlando Health y recorrer el centro. No se realizarán mamografías durante el evento.
“Aunque el Mes de Concientización sobre el Cáncer de Mama es una excelente oportunidad para unirnos y crear conciencia, queremos asegurarnos de hablar sobre el cáncer de mama durante todo el año”, dijo el Dr. Jeffrey Smith, cirujano de cáncer de mama del Orlando Health Cancer Institute. “La detección temprana es muy importante porque puede mejorar considerablemente los resultados para nuestras pacientes”.
Además de recibir información sobre el cuidado de los senos, las asistentes podrán disfrutar de cócteles sin alcohol y charcutería, una oportunidad especial para tomarse fotografías, masajes relajantes en silla, una estación de aceites esenciales y talleres para crear arreglos florales y accesorios con dijes.
El evento gratuito está diseñado para ofrecer a las mujeres un ambiente cómodo y acogedor donde puedan darle prioridad a su salud mientras disfrutan de una mañana significativa y memorable.
Según la Sociedad Americana Contra el Cáncer, aproximadamente una de cada ocho mujeres en Estados Unidos desarrollará cáncer de mama durante su vida. Las mamografías periódicas pueden ayudar a detectar el cáncer de mama en sus primeras etapas, cuando el tratamiento puede ser más efectivo.
