Construction to remove the shoal at the mouth of the C-35 Canal in Cypress Lake is scheduled to begin October 25, 2021.

The dredge operation is expected to last until December 2021, barring weather and unforeseen events.

The project will begin with the laying of dredge pipes in the C-35 from the shoal in Cypress Lake to the spoil disposal site along the C-35 north of the shoal. The C-35 canal will be closed to all but official and emergency navigation traffic from October 25, 2022 to December 25, 2021. Total closure time will be based on weather and contractor need.
