Osceola County District 1 Commissioner Peggy Choudhry and Salvation Army Area Commander Ken Chapman are hosting a drive-thru distribution event for non-perishable food items and essential school supplies today, Saturday, January 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 1531 Immokalee Street in Intercession City.

The drive-through distribution will allow parents to stay in their vehicles while receiving backpacks stocked with vital school supplies. Children must be present in the vehicle to receive the essential school supplies and food items.

This community event is a collaborative effort between  Osceola County Government, Staples of Winter Garden, The Salvation Army of Osceola County, and Masa Action Fund. The organizations are working together to support local families.

The event is first-come, first-served and will continue as long as supplies last. Registration prior to the event is not required. It is recommended that families arrive early.
