Part of what makes communities strong is working together to overcome challenges and challenging times. Without question, we are living in a challenging time, and Sheriff Russ Gibson and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office recently stepped up to make a positive difference in the Osceola County community by sponsoring a technology station to support the Osceola Reads program.

Osceola Reads Is a countywide literacy initiative that offers the Footsteps2Brilliance reading app, as well as tips for parents to help prepare their children for kindergarten, to all Osceola County children at no cost… yes – this amazing app that will help ensure that your kids start school ready to succeed.

The station includes two iPads for children to utilize the Footsteps2Brilliance app and help take their minds off their current situation while spending time at the Community Hope Center. Attached to each station is an access code and instructions on how to utilize this resource. Children can also log in using their own Super Secret Code if they have already registered for free at OsceolaReads.com.

Our children are our most precious resource and worth every penny we can invest in their future,” said Sheriff Russ Gibson.
