Osceola County added just 12 coronavirus cases on Monday, its lowest daily number in over a week, and now has 241 cases.

It’s still the second-highest in Central Florida to Orange County’s 754 cases, and the 10th most of the state’s 67 counties.

Osceola hasn’t recorded a new death since Thursday. There are 67 local virus-related hospitalizations.

On the day the United State crossed the barrier of 10,000 deaths nationwide, there are now 13,629 cases in Florida, an addition of about 1,300 cases Monday. The percentage of new cases and deaths locally and across the state decreased slightly since the weekend. This is hope that social distancing practices and the local and state-issued stay-at-home declarations likely are having an impact on the virus pandemic.
Stay safe, stay home and keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll “flatten the curve” and get life back to normal sooner than later, Osceola County!
