Trevelin Queen and Mac McClung led the charge as the Osceola Magic (1-2) secured a commanding 128-105 victory over the Mexico City Capitanes (1-2) on Tuesday night. Queen tallied 27 points, while McClung contributed 24 points, powering the team to its first win of the 2024-25 season. Jarrett Culver also made a significant impact, recording his first double-double of the year with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Capitanes, Trey Burke delivered an impressive performance, scoring 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting, including four three-pointers. David Jones added 20 points and six rebounds off the bench to bolster Mexico City’s offense.

Despite trailing 60-57 at halftime, the Magic roared back in the third quarter, outscoring the Capitanes 37-18 to take control of the game. Queen continued his stellar play in the second half, adding 16 of his 27 points, while McClung kept pace with 11 points and five assists after the break.

New addition Caleb Houstan made his debut for Osceola on assignment from the Orlando Magic, contributing a well-rounded 10 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. The Magic’s bench outshined the Capitanes’ reserves 47-37, led by Jalen Slawson’s standout performance of 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two blocks.

The two teams will face off again tomorrow night, November 15, for Noche Latina, presented by Suncoast Credit Union. The first 1,000 fans in attendance at the 7 p.m. tip-off will receive a special Noche Latina replica jersey. The game will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network Sun and NBAGLeague.com.
