A special meeting was convened by School District of Osceola County’s board members last week to select the four finalists for the Superintendent Search. The new superintendent will replace retiring superintendent Dr. Debra Pace, who has served in that position for seven years. The following individuals have been identified as the final candidates for the position:

  • Candidate #4: Dr. Michael Allen
  • Candidate #14: Terrence L. Connor
  • Applicant #15: Dr. Ann Hembrook
  • Applicant #25: Dr. Mark Shanoff

To engage with the community and allow for public participation, the four finalists will be visiting the school district on June 5th and 6th. During those days, they will undergo public interviews conducted by the School Board, which will be live-streamed. Additionally, the candidates will have the opportunity to tour the school district and participate in private meetings with individual School Board Members.

The Osceola County School Board will be taking public comment via a QR input code throughout the interview week. The code will be posted on the Superintendent Search website. The public will also have the opportunity to view the finalist interviews online on demand if they do not tune in live or attend in person.

The school district will host a Community Meet and Greet tonight, June 5th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Valencia College’s Osceola Campus. This event will provide the community an opportunity to personally meet these individuals and learn more about their qualifications and visions for our school district.

Finally, there will be public input at the meeting before the School Board begins their discussion and selection of the Superintendent.
