The School District of Osceola County was one of the first counties in Florida to submit its 2020-2021 school year plan to the state (Start Smart) – click here to learn more,  and with that, they were able to communicate to the community what their response would be to positive COVID-19 cases that might occur within the district once educators, support staff, and students were back in schools.

According to the School District of Osceola County spokesperson, “the district takes each incident case by case and works with the Department of Health to ensure that we are following all guidelines for contact tracing and notifying those individuals who should quarantine, get tested, or monitor for symptoms.  The majority of the incidents reported thus far occurred before school began so exposure to students has been limited.”
