The Florida Department of Education has ranked the Osceola County School District as having the second lowest administrative expenditures among all school districts in the state, according to the recently released 2023–2024 financial report.
The ranking, part of the Florida Educational Funding Accountability Act, reflects the district’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and its focus on maximizing resources for student learning. By maintaining low administrative costs, the Osceola County School Board continues to prioritize putting dollars directly into classrooms—supporting teachers, educational programs, and student achievement.
District leaders say the recognition reinforces their long-standing strategy of streamlining operations in order to invest in what matters most: student success.
“By maintaining lean administrative operations, the Osceola School District continues to ensure that resources are focused on supporting teachers, enhancing instruction, and improving outcomes for every student,” said Osceola School Board Chairman Heather Kahoun. “While the Osceola School District continues to advocate for better funding for our schools, we are committed to using each and every dollar in the best possible manner for the students.”
