Rodeo is alive in well in, and around Osceola, and a group of young people just proved that the future of rodeo in Osceola County is in good hands, very good hands!

Beginning July 5th – July 11th, twelve of Osceola County’s finest youth cowboys and cowgirls will compete against some of the country’s toughest competition in the sport during the 2021 National Little Britches Rodeo Finals in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Over 1200 contestants are expected to compete for nearly $400,000 in awards and college scholarships at the Lazy E Arena.

Over Memorial Day weekend more than 125 Florida contestants traveled to Live Oak for the Florida Little Britches Rodeo State Finals. From there, 12 competitors from Osceola County, along with others in the state, qualified to move on to the National Rodeo Finals competing in a variety of rodeo events.

Osceola County contestants competing in the National Rodeo Finals are: Trip Brown, Roan Burnette, Riley Conner, Madison Gunther, Sara Hendrix, Lawson Horner, Madison McClelland, Maci McDonald, Kaydynce Redman, Hailey Wall, Tyler Wall, Jaggar White, and Kolton White.

Fans can watch the National Rodeo Finals on RFD-TV which is available in more than 60 million homes across America. The National Little Britches Rodeo Association, founded in 1952, is one of the largest and oldest youth rodeo organizations in the country. NLBRA sanctions over 500 rodeos in 33 states for youth contestants ages 5-18 years old.
