The Florida Department of Health is reporting more than 7,300 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday’s update, which brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to more than 213,000 since early March. Osceola County logged in with a total of 127 new cases, and no new deaths.

Tuesday’s update also showed that there were 419 negative test results, along with the 127 positives bringing the positivity rate of 23.3%, and higher than Florida’s positivity rate of 16.1% from today’s report.

Over the last 2 days there have been half the number of test results reported in Osceola County in comparison to July 4 and the days leading up to the holiday.

Statewide, Florida reported an additional 64 deaths since yesterday’s update, bringing the total death toll to 3,841 (2% of all cases)

Since early march the The Florida Department of Health is reporting that there have been 16,425 hospitalizations (8% of all cases). According to the FDOH there have been 208 hospitalizations in Osceola of residents (7% of all cases), and 29 deaths(1% of all cases) Hospitalization counts include anyone who was hospitalized at some point during their illness. It does not reflect the number of people currently hospitalized.

Statewide, Florida health officials reported that more than 2 million people have tested negative for the virus since the pandemic started, including 27,907 in the past 24 hours. There has been total of 213,794 positive cases reported.
