I’m Nathan Blackwell, Mayor of the City of St. Cloud, and this is the Mayor’s Minute.
We hope you will mark your calendar and plan to join us for our Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6 th , from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Hopkins Park, located at 620 E. 17th Street in St. Cloud. The Back to School Bash will include games, bounce houses, school supplies and much more. We hope to see you there, and we help get the children of our community ready for a successful school year!
Our downtown revitalization project is underway, and we’re about 25 percent of the way done. Although things look a little messy downtown right now, let me encourage you to continue to support our local shops and restaurants in the downtown district. Most of these are local business owners, who count on your support. The city is working to make parking easier downtown and we’re investigating other ways we may be able to help our local businesses. All the businesses are open and are accessible. We join the rest of the community in looking forward to the day this Fall when the project is completed and we can all enjoy a more beautiful and robust downtown business district.
