With a goal of  helping first responders and hospital staff on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Publix is offering special shopping hours just for them.

The grocery store chain is setting aside Thursday evenings, from 8 p.m. to 9 pm., and Friday mornings, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., just for those front line workers.

The designated hours start Thursday, April 16, and will continue for the foreseeable future, according to Publix. The store pharmacy will be open during those hours, as well. The decision impacts stores company-wide.

On another positive and kindness note…

Sam’s Club associates are able to shop the club early every Sunday from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. and now they are about to open their doors to include healthcare workers and first responders during those special hours.

The Hero Hours will kick off Sunday, April 19 and continue until further notice. All shoppers entering clubs will be provided with a mask for safety.

Positively Osceola would like to thank both Publix and Sam’s Club for making a Positive Difference in the community by providing such a special time to shop for our heroes, healthcare workers, and first responders.
