The news hasn’t changed on the coronavirus front — stay at home, cover up when out, avoid direct contact with new people and practice your social distancing. The numbers of infections is starting to be a pattern as well — less of a coincidence, and reaching the point of a trend — and it’s one for the better when you dive into the stats.

COVID-17 cases continue to increase in small numbers in Osceola County, up six from overnight to 367, and just one more hospitalization to 109. The state added about 360 cases overnight to reach 22,847, another small increase relative to the thousands added a week ago. That’s the key — smaller number to highlight that our efforts, while uncomfortable, may be or are having an effect on the spread of the virus in Florida and in Osceola County.
