Thursday evening, March 21, 2109, during the 2nd round of the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo the best of best put on their boots, strapped on their saddles and sat upon some of the finest livestock in the country. The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo held the Rodeo Education & Appreciation Night where all teachers, college students and students 18 and under received free admission with a valid ID. All other tickets were just $10 through the Silver Spurs Arena Box Office thanks to Kissimmee Utility Authority.

The RAM NCFR holds the Rodeo Education & Appreciation Night to continue the heritage and educate others on agriculture and the sport of rodeo. The RAM NCFR Committee launched Rodeo Education and Appreciation Night in 2017 as an educational performance built for the first-time rodeo attendee.  Osceola County school members, homeschool groups, and rodeo enthusiasts were able to listen to the announcers go into the rules and regulations of rodeo, how to win, and how to be the best fan.

Schools throughout Osceola County teach 6 weeks of curriculum to 6th graders which are based on the history of agriculture and the rodeo. Both topics play a huge role in Osceola County still to this day.

“It’s very important to me as the President of the Education Foundation that we have an Education Night, we get to recognize our teachers and students. We want them to absorb some of the heritage and see some of the best of the best compete right here in Kissimmee.”
– Osceola County Commissioner Fred Hawkins Jr., and  President of the Education Foundation
