The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo Contestants made a very special visit this morning, March 22, 2019, to Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee, Florida as part of their “contestant site visits”. Each contestant in the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo is given the opportunity to give back to the community by visiting various location throughout the county.
Give Kids the World, founded in 1986, is a nonprofit resort that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families. Set on 84-acres, this special Central Florida resort has 168 villa accommodations, unique entertainment attractions, venues and fun activities for children of all abilities.
Children staying at Give Kids the World were able to grab a “Rodeo Passport” and learn a trick or two about the rodeo industry. Each station was unique in its own way, barrel racing with RAM NCFR Barrel Racers, Dona Kay Rule and Teri Bangart, calf roping with Dane Kissack, team roping/tie down, and cornhole. Children were able to color their own Cowboy picture before receiving a RAM NCFR bandana to take home with them.
“I think it’s a wonderful idea to come here to Give Kids the World and helps those can’t necessarily help themselves. It’s an incredible opportunity, it helps keep things in perspective of what’s really important. I love seeing all of these kids and people here that have challenges and they are facing them head on and have great attitudes.
