The St. Cloud City Council elected Council Member Linette Matheny as the new Deputy Mayor during a regular council meeting November 15th. In accordance with the city’s Code of Ordinances, “the council shall elect from among its own members an officer of the city who shall have the title of Deputy Mayor, shall be recognized as the head of the city government for all ceremonial purposes and by the governor for purposes of military law, but shall have no administrative duties.
The Deputy Mayor shall act as Mayor in the absence or disability of the Mayor”. Matheny was elected by the registered voters of St. Cloud in 2016 to serve a four-year term as Seat #2.
El Concilio de la Ciudad de St. Cloud eligió a la miembro del Concilio Linette Matheny como su nuevo Vice-Alcalde durante una reunión regular del concilio el 15 de noviembre. De acuerdo con el Código de Ordenanzas del Municipio de St. Cloud, “el concilio elegirá entre sus propios miembros a un oficial municipal quien tundra el título de Vice-Alcalde, será reconocido como el encargado del gobierno municipal para todos los propósitos ceremoniales y por el gobernador para los propósitos de ley militar, pero no tendrá deberes administrativos.
El Vice-Alcalde actuará como alcalde durante la ausencia o incapacidad del alcalde”. Matheny fue elegida por los votantes registrados de St. Cloud en el 2016 para servir un término de cuatro años en la Silla #2.
