In November the St. Cloud Police SWAT team competed in the 2019 SWAT Roundup International that was held in Orlando. The SWAT Roundup is a week-long competition event that tests the officer’s abilities to shoot accurately, move dynamically, think “on the fly” and make hard decisions.
The events in the roundup are geared for simulation of real life scenarios and are intended to challenge the team as a unit.
St. Cloud’s SWAT team won the Best Smallest Agency award, for teams participating from an agency with less than 100 sworn officers.
