One of EPCOT’s most thrilling attractions is making its grand return. Test Track Presented by General Motors is officially reopening on July 22, unveiling a reimagined experience that blends high-speed adventure with cutting-edge automotive innovation.
The updated version of the popular ride will introduce an all-new musical score that enhances the ride’s futuristic feel and immerses guests in a new era of car design and performance. But it’s not just about the music—this update also brings fresh scenes that spotlight the latest technology driving the future of mobility.
Disney Imagineers, in collaboration with General Motors, have reworked Test Track to reflect how today’s smart vehicles are evolving to make our daily lives safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable. New show elements will take riders through an immersive design and testing journey, emphasizing sustainability, interconnectivity, and intelligent mobility.
The reimagined attraction maintains its signature high-speed finale—where riders reach speeds of up to 65 miles per hour—but now includes storytelling that aligns more closely with EPCOT’s ongoing transformation into a park that celebrates the power of possibility.
Test Track has been closed for refurbishment since earlier this year as part of Walt Disney World Resort’s broader push to enhance guest experiences through updated attractions and fresh creative storytelling. The July 22 reopening is expected to draw large crowds eager to be among the first to experience the enhanced ride.
Guests can start booking Lightning Lane passes and viewing wait times for the new Test Track experience through the My Disney Experience app beginning on opening day.
